During the beginning of the Fin5 orienteering week there has been certain faults that have had negative impact on the fairness of the competition.
On Monday, control 177 was located in a wrong place. It was not possible to see and locate the misplaced control from the correct place in terrain indicated by the map.
On Wednesday, in the sprint competition few classes went incorrectly through RR3 and RR7 controls, which were represented as control codes 603 and 607 on normal courses. The control codes 603 and 607 were not indicated on these controls. In addition there were few occasions were runners from different classes had same course and start time.
The occurred faults are humane and unfortunately passed through the inspection chain constituted of course setter, inspectors, control point builders and various test runners. As these faults have had negative impact to the certain classes, these have brought up for handling in the competition jury. It has declared that Fin5 Monday competition will remain valid, but it will not be calculated into the overall results of Fin5 regarding the impacted classes.
The impacted classes regarding the Monday competition are H18E, H45AL, H50AL, H60A, H65AL, D21E, D16E, D35AL, D40AL, D45A and D60A.
The following classes on Wednesday competition are invalidated based on the control code error: D45AL, D16A, D80, H55AL, H75 and H80.
The following classes on Wednesday competition are invalidated based on same starting time: D16E, D18E, H16E and H18E.
This will mean, that in elite classes D16E and H18E the Fin5 orienteering week victory will be concluded based on second, fourth and fifth races. In elite class D21E the first race will be discarded and in elite classes D18E and H16E the third race will be discarded.
Regarding the Jury discarded sprint classes (D45AL, D16A, D80, H55AL, H75, H80, D16E, D18E, H16E and H18E) there will be possibility for the runners to apply for refund concerning the individual race. At the beginning of the next week Fin5 website will be updated with form which impacted runner can utilize to apply for the refund.
Organizers are deeply sorry and apologies for the occurred faults.

There are some small roads on competition area that orieneers will cross during the 4th and 5th race. Be careful when crossing the road! There are also some farm houses with macines in competition area, be careful also there. Forbidden areas are marked on the map and in the terrain, there will be tape around the area.
